Karen Downing has been working with Spirit since childhood. At an early age, Karen was always very sensitive of people’s energy and seemed to know and understand things that other children her age did not. At about age 13, Karen began to read books that contained concepts about spirituality and metaphysics; she could often be found in the library looking through books about Atlantis, Lemuria and other times from Earth’s etheric history. By 16, Karen began to give readings to herself by using a standard playing card deck as the Tarot. Her thirst for knowledge about metaphysics and the psychic seemed to be unquenchable at that time.
In college, Karen enjoyed the social side of life, but often would be drawn back to using her intuition. Sometimes it would be done by playing game about telling people about their upbringing or by looking at people shoes and describing their life (Karen worked as a shoe salesperson for 10 years.) At this time, she did not really understand that she was using her intuition; she just thought it was logical and fun.
This energy was not tapped into again until 2005, when Karen went to a dinner with Margaret McElroy, who channels the energy of Maitreya. Karen had never attended a channeling before and had no idea what to expect, but once she felt the beauty of Maitreya’s energy, it touched her so deeply in her heart, that she knew this was where she needed to be. In 2006, Karen started taking intuitive development courses with Margaret, and by August of that year, Karen was participating in psychic fairs and giving readings on a professional level.
In 2009, Karen started publicly channeling Aurora and started AurorasMessage.com. Since then Karen has continued to develop this website, as well as the classes and services offered.
